BACKGROUND
Western Civil and Earthmoving Pty Ltd was established in 2024 by industry professionals to ensure that extensive investments put forth by all levels of Government through the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) resulted in sustainable economic development opportunities within Cape York Peninsula. It was developed to provide not only value for money to the Federal, State and Local Government, but importantly, offer critical training and up skilling opportunities for local people within the region.

Western Civil & Earthmoving is the only Far North Queensland contractor that is 100% Indigenous owned and 70% operated, we pride ourselves on training and retaining a skilled Indigenous workforce. Many of our long term employees have cultural connection in the areas we operate.

SUBCONTRACTORS
We have the management capacity to utilise extra resources to meet deadlines, at or better than the required quality standards.
We use subcontractors for specialist areas where we do not have available skilled staff or equipment to undertake the work to a high standard. Areas subcontracted can include electrical, kerbing and channel, trenchless excavation and bituminous surfacing.
During project works subcontractors are monitored for compliance with Our Management Systems and are required to participate in site activities such as pre-start and toolbox meetings and fitness for work assessments.
We only use subcontractors that we have the utmost confidence in to perform to our standards of quality and production.
